Parachute Training Center: Edwards AFB
Glide to the Ground with Parachute Training!
This attraction will be closing at 9:00pm on Saturday, September 7 for a Member Event.
Ever wonder what it feels like to jump out of an airplane? Well you’re about to get your chance, without the hassle of a pesky take-off and landing.
You and a brave buddy can take a seat under a giant parachute and get hauled straight up to the top of a staggering 250-foot tall tower. Seeing as the only other way to get to that height would be a jet engine or a pair of wings, we thought we’d give you a lift.
The ride up is so smooth you’ll barely notice it—if you don’t look down, that is. You just get whisked to the top, swiftly and silently, darting up through the air to the view of the century! With the whole park beneath you and the great landscape in every direction, enjoy this wonderful sight for a brief moment, because in about three seconds we’ll be pulling the ripcord to send you soaring.
As your parachute billows and fills with air, you’ll float straight back down, gracefully delivered back to solid ground. It turns out skydiving is a lot less stressful than you thought, but just as thrilling.
For your safety, no loose articles including cell phones are permitted on Parachute Training Center: Edwards AFB. All loose articles must be secured in a button or zipped pocket, locker or with a non-rider.
