Drop Your Flops at Hurricane Harbor
Six Flags Hosts Flip Flop Donation Day
GURNEE, Ill. — June 12, 2015 — Nothing says summer like a good pair of flip flops! To kick off the official start to summer weekend, Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor is teaming up with PADS Lake County for Flip Flop Day on Friday, June 19. Guests are asked to bring a new pair of flip flops to Hurricane Harbor to receive free entry to the water park plus exclusive slide time.
The Hammerhead and Barracuda tube slides and Typhoon and Vortex whirlpool slides will be available exclusively to donating guests between 5-6p.m.
“Flip Flop Day is a fun and easy way to come out and help your community” said aquatics manager, Heather Blair. “Hurricane Harbor boasts more than 30 different water attractions and four of those will be open exclusively to those that donate.”
Hurricane Harbor is a 20-acre celebrating its ten year anniversary this summer. When it debuted in 2005, it was the largest expansion in Six Flags Great America’s history.
