Largest Seasonal Employer in Illinois to Raise Wages
Six Flags Great America to Pay Minimum $9.00 per Hour
GURNEE, Ill. — June 15, 2015 — Six Flags Great America announced today that it will raise wages affecting more than 80% of its team members. The increase from $8.25 per hour to $9.00 per hour will begin June 29, 2015.
Six Flags hires more than 4,200 seasonal employees each season to help run the 120 acre theme park and water park.
“Our team members are our biggest investment,” said park president Hank Salemi. “We want to ensure that we are finding people that will commit to providing excellent guest service. Offering a competitive wage makes Six Flags an even more desirable place to work.”
