Add A Meal
Enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet in our Rivers Edge Picnic Grove 12:00-1:30 the day of your outing. This a perfect time for teachers to check in with students for a head count and be sure students are getting a good meal at the same time. All buffet tickets must be purchased at least 15 days in advance of your visit.
If you’re not looking to gather your class for a meal, or worry that you will not make it in time for the buffet, midway meal vouchers are available. These freestyle dining vouchers are available to purchase in advance or on the day of your visit.

Groups of 15 to 99
Groups of 15 to 99 students not coming on a Student Appreciate Day may receive special pricing on tickets to Six Flags New England.
Purchase your tickets at least 15 days in advance of your outing and pay $39.50 per person.
All group orders receive one complimentary admission for every 15 pre-purchased tickets if paid more than 15 days in advance of your outing.
Tax Exempt Groups
Tax exemption is not eligible with online purchases. Please mail or phone in your order for tax exemption purposes. You can download and print our order form to complete your order by mail.

Six Flags catered outings offer a complete day of food and fun for groups of 100 or more without breaking the bank. Take the guesswork out of food planning and let our trained, expert staff take the lead. Choose from signature picnic staples like burgers and hot dogs or enjoy chicken, pasta, steak, desserts and more.
Every package includes park admission and an all-you-can-eat buffet so absolutely no one leaves hungry. Plus, the entire picnic experience takes place in our Rivers Edge Picnic Grove where you and your crew will truly be treated like VIPs. You can even customize your day with fun add-ons like souvenir photos, private shows, caricature artists, games, DJs, face painters and more.
What is the process of booking an educational group visit?
When you are prepared to make your purchase, you may visit our website and buy tickets with a credit card at least two days prior to your visit. Please note, only a limited amount of ticket types are available and there is no tax exemption for online purchases.
Alternatively, you can call our group sales office at 413-786-9300 ext 3500 to receive assistance processing your order. The group sales department is open Monday-Friday 9:00-4:00.
If you would like to pay via check, please send the group order form along with your check at least a week prior to your trip. If you are ordering the student buffet, we must receive your order and payment at least 15 days in advance via the group sales office for our culinary services department to order the food for your group.
What is the minimum size of a group?
How can we cancel or reschedule my school’s visit?
Once tickets are purchased, they are nonrefundable and nonexchangeable.
When is the best time to visit?
Every day is the best day to visit!
How should I prepare for my schools’ visit?
Make sure to purchase your tickets well in advance either via our website or our group sales office. Instruct students they are not allowed to bring outside food or drink into the park.
Can my group attend on any day or just certain days?
Your school group can attend Six Flags New England on any operating day. However, there are discounted tickets for schools if you come to the park on a School Program Day.
What happens if the park closes due to weather?
Six Flags New England typically stays open in all types of weather. If it rains, make sure students are prepared to get wet! In the event the park does close, our group sales team will handle each group’s situation on a case by case basis.
Do I still have to purchase a buffet ticket if I don’t plan on eating in the Picnic Grove and just want to accompany my group?
Anyone who wishes to enter the Picnic Grove must purchase the buffet ticket. This includes chaperones and people who claim they will not be eating. Buffet tickets cannot be purchased the day of the visit.
What happens if I lose my buffet ticket?
Buffet tickets cannot be replaced if lost or stolen so please handle them responsibly.
Can students with the All Season Dining Pass use their pass for the student buffet in the catering pavilions?
No. Anyone who wishes to enjoy the student buffet must present a buffet ticket to enter the Picnic Grove.
How do I get to the River’s Edge Picnic Grove?
Upon entering the park, head straight down Main Street, take a left at Main Street Gazebo and then follow the green line painted on the ground.
Can I enter the Picnic Grove multiple times?
If your group has opted for the student buffet and you have a buffet ticket, you can only enter the Picnic Grove once. Once you leave, you may not enter again, even if there is remaining time for the meal.
If your group has opted for a private catered event and you have a wristband you may enter multiple times but only within your allotted meal time.
Can I leave the Picnic Grove with food?
All food must be consumed in the Picnic Grove before exiting
What kind of food/dining packages are available?
For schools groups 100+ we offer private catering options.
For other school groups, we offer a student buffet which is available on select dates. These buffet tickets must be purchased at least 15 days in advance of your outing.
We also offer a midway meal voucher which is valid at select restaurants for select meals. These freestyle dining vouchers are available to purchase in advance or on the day of your visit.

Do you offer vegetarian or special dietary options?
Yes! Visit our Dining page for more information for options within the park.
Private catered events have the ability to customize their menu to meet dietary needs while the student buffet does not have a customizable menu.
Are we allowed to bring in outside food and drinks?
No outside food or beverages are allowed inside of the park, unless the guest has a severe dietary restriction.
Who can enter the River’s Edge Picnic Grove for the student buffet?
Only the people who have purchased the student buffet and can present a buffet ticket are allowed into the Picnic Grove. Buffet tickets and cannot be purchased the day of your visit.
What personal items/types of bags are allowed in the park?
Bags are allowed inside the park and will be searched at our security checkpoint. Refer to our website for prohibited items.
How much money should students bring?
This is up to each person’s discretion. The amount can vary depending upon if the school has opted for a meal option.
A student needs to leave early. Can their parent pick them up?
Yes. A chaperone must escort the student to the car of a responsible adult.
My group includes children with special needs. How do I proceed?

Can Bugs Bunny or BATMAN™ visit our group?
We have regularly scheduled walk around visits throughout the park. If your group has purchased a private catered event, you have the option of adding on a visit from a character for an additional fee.
Can students purchase souvenirs during their visit?
How much does it cost to park our bus at the park?
Do we have to pay for parking if we come in multiple cars?
Yes. Each car is subject to a parking fee of $25.
How early can we arrive on the day of our event? When does the parking lot open?
The parking lot opens one hour before park opening.
Do we all have to arrive and enter the park at the same time?
You do not have to enter the park at the same time, but everyone must have their own admission ticket.
Can we leave tickets at the Group Sales Window?
You will not be able to leave individual tickets at the Group Sales Window. The group leader should distribute all tickets in advance.
What is your policy regarding chaperones?
We offer one complimentary ticket per every fifteen paid tickets. To qualify for complimentary tickets, your school’s order and payment must be received by our group sales office at least 15 days prior to your outing. Sorry, no exceptions will be made.
Can students use their Season Passes to enter the park?
Yes. Students may use a valid season pass during a group visit. Do not include these students in your ticket counts.
How do we get additional chaperone tickets after we schedule our trip?
Any chaperones outside of the one complimentary ticket per 15 paid tickets will pay the group rate.
What are the methods of delivery for tickets?
You can opt to have your tickets mailed to you if your order and payment are received at least 15 days prior to your outing. Or you can choose to have your tickets held at the group sales window at the park.
How many chaperones can I bring?
Six Flags New England does not dictate how many chaperones a group must bring. You may bring as many as you like!
Can I return tickets that I don’t use?
No. All tickets are nonrefundable and nonexchangeable.
Is the ticket price all inclusive?
The ticket prices includes admission to the park, rides, and attractions. There are a few attractions that may require an additional fee. Food, parking, games, and souvenirs are not included in your ticket price.
Do you have private meeting spaces?
We do not have an enclosed meeting space, however we have outdoor pavilions that can be reserved for groups 100+.
How far in advance do I need to pay for my tickets?
If you would like your tickets shipped to you, we must receive your order and payment at least 15 days prior to your outing. Otherwise, you can purchase tickets at least two days in advance online. Please note, only a limited amount of ticket types are available and there is no tax exemption for online purchases.
Some discounts may be available depending upon how far in advance you are able to make your payment. Please refer to the group order form for dates and rates.
If you are ordering the student buffet, you must purchase 15 days in advance via the group sales office for our culinary services department to order the food for your group. Group Sales is not open on the weekends, therefore no one will be available to take your order on Saturday and Sunday.
Do you have audio equipment available?

Will you consider the postmark as the payment date?
Postmarks are not taken into consideration as we must receive your payment to have time to process your order.
How much of a deposit do you require?
There is no deposit for tickets. Your order must be paid in full before your outing.
What kind of learning guides or worksheets are available?
We hold a Science Adventure program on select dates in April and May. This physics-based scavenger hunt is appropriate for grades 4-12.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept credit cards and checks. POs are not accepted.
Do you have any special events for school groups at the park?

We also offer Grad Nite, which is the most extreme party on the planet! Graduating high school seniors can rock out to dance parties and short ride times.
Can I change my order?
Once tickets are purchased, they are nonrefundable and nonexchangeable. You have the option of purchasing more tickets at our group sales window on the day of your outing, but you will not receive any complimentary tickets.
Who can attend the Educational Days?
Six Flags New England is open to the public on Education Days, but the demographic is largely school-aged children.
Do tickets expire?
Yes. Refer to your tickets for expiration dates.
Is my school required to participate in the educational activities to attend?
We do not require anyone to participate in the educational element. Some schools require the educational portion in order to go on a field trip, which is one of the reasons we offer these activities. We certainly welcome schools to come out to the park just to have fun!
Is there a processing fee?
Yes, there is one processing fee per order of $10.
