Six Flags Over Texas Unleashes Its Biggest and Scariest Fright Fest Ever
Four New Attractions, Including A Haunted House, Among This Year’s Highlights
ARLINGTON, Texas — September 19, 2018 — Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, will host the biggest and scariest Fright Fest event in the park’s history. Voted the Best Theme Park Halloween Event in the state of Texas by USA TODAY readers, the theme park will kick-off its 42nd season with more than 20 chilling attractions, including four new ones, that promise to deliver spine-chilling scares that can only be experienced at Six Flags Over Texas.
Fright Fest® will be the biggest and scariest in the park’s history during its 23-day run beginning Saturday, September 22. To take fright to the extreme, Six Flags Over Texas will add a sinister element to some of the theme park’s monster coasters by turning off the lights and adding unique theming, leaving riders to face their fears in total darkness with some unsuspecting friends.
The all-new Hello Block 6—Sentenced to Death is based off of a visit to one of the most perverse prisons in the area. Guests will be challenged to see if they can escape the warden’s domain, insane inmates and mutated shockers from death row. It’s during this journey that it is discovered there is a sentence to life with no parole. With more than 200 roaming zombies and ghouls taking over more than 20 horrifying attractions, no place is safe once the sun goes down. Prepare for more scare than ever before!
For Thrills by Day, kids are invited to experience the park’s Trick-or-Treat trail and Halloween themed shows, rides and attractions throughout the day. Be warned, after 7:00 p.m., all HELL breaks loose and the attractions may be too intense for young children.
The BIGGEST Fright Fest ever kicks off Saturday, September 22 and runs on select days through October 31.
